OK2CQR

"I'll give up CW when I'm dead! MAYBE!" (Rick, KC8AON)

Activity from OKFF-1571 Jiřina

My first activity this year. The OKFF-1571 is about 7km on food from my QTH. We had a sunny day and after a very busy week, I need some time to relax :). I already had LiPol battery charged, packing KX3, EFHW antenna, paddle and other stuff was ready in a few minutes.

OK2CQR is back

After two years as OK7AN I dediced to return to the old callsgin. The new one was good, quite short but I could not get used to it, maybe because I had been using OK2CQR for over 20 years. The decision was made, from 1st of May 2019 I returned to the air with OK2CQR.

100th anniversary of the Czechoslovak Republic

We celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Czechoslovak Republic (Czechoslovakia) on October 28, 1918. I’ll be one of the special callsigns on the air. You can get very nice award for QSO with OL100 callsigns. I’ll be active as OL100C. More information about the award is on OKDXF website related to this event.

Activity from OKFF-1097 Vinořský park

I drive around this area always when I go to work or return home. It took some time but I decided to visit it this afternoon. We have a few last sunny days and it’s really nice and relaxing to spend them in the nature.

IARU HF Championship as OL6HQ

Meeting with Joe, WC4R

Joe is the owner of callbook.us domain which is redirected to HamQTH.com. We were in touch via email for some time and last year, he wrote me they are going to visit some EU countries this holiday. Finally, we met in Prague this morning and had a lovely eyeball QSO. Thank you, Joe!

My activity from Flora & Fauna areas

World Flora & Fauna program is very popular. You can work several stations from different areas every day. I was also active from three areas this year. Twice from a car, once with QRP FT-817.  My next activity will be with QRP directly from the area. Sitting in the car is not funny.
