Activity from OKFF-0224 – Holý vrch

I did this activation with my wife during a weekend when our children were staying with their grandparents. I attempted to create a video documenting the activation, providing a basic overview. However, it’s important to note that it falls far short of the quality found in videos produced by Thomas, K4SWL—it’s just a first attempt.

I encountered a few challenges with antenna deployment, prompting some minor improvements. I replaced the existing cord with a higher-quality one that doesn’t attract small branches scattered on the ground, which had been a significant issue during this activation.

The landscape was breathtaking, and I thoroughly enjoyed strolling through the serene forest. The only sounds were the delightful melodies of birds and the rustling of leaves in the treetops. It was a rejuvenating experience that recharged my mental batteries.

While I was on the air, my wife found a cozy spot on a tree stump and immersed herself in a book. Propagation conditions were quite favorable, allowing me to make 49 QSOs. I could have made more, but our time was cut short by the unexpected arrival of a family of wild boars, prompting us to leave quickly.
